About Me - Pip's Particulars

I hope you are well!
I'm a Western Australian artist with a love for painting beautiful turquoise seascapes, bright nostalgic coastal scenes and tanned figures in the Aussie sun.
I aim to distract the viewer from the worries of the world with positive and nostalgic scenes.
My figurative works show Australians engrossed in outdoor pursuits. I’d like to promote a shift back to being active, healthy and in a state of natural flow in the outdoors.
I’d like to provide a reminder to take time out from our materialistic and tech crazed lifestyles.
I long for simpler times and you may see some retro visuals such as mid-century architecture and old movie references creep into my work.
I knew art was special when I could sketch a good likeness of celebrities and historic buildings at around 7 years of age. Art was the only TEE subject that I loved more than human biology.
I was cautioned against art at university level and am very thankful, as now with a career in podiatry I can afford to pursue my passion!
As in life I enjoy genuine and transparent interactions with collectors and very much enjoy meeting new people. I see new collectors as friends and this is reflected by caring after sales help and advice.
